LEAD School

LEAD was definitely an eye-opener for me.  I thought I was doing okay until now, but man, some of these people are so inspirational.  The speakers they got were unbelievable, especially Chad Carden.  He spoke with such energy and gusto that it really energized us also.  He had such insight on leadership and what it really took to get to your goal.  And not just the “step by step” kind of thing they teach us in regular school; he really shows you what it takes to achieve your dreams.

Met a lot of really good people too this weekend.  It made me really think about what I’m doing, and how much I have to branch out and meet more people and make more connections.  I saw my friend just going at it, meeting person after person, and compared to him, I looked antisocial.  Seriously.  It really got me thinking, how much in my comfort zone did I regress? That’s why this weekend was not just dedicated to learning, it was about branching out and meeting more people, and actually getting to know them.  And it worked for the most part.  It takes a lot of effort to push myself and really get myself out there.

New goal in life: get out there, get your name out and really meet people.  And when I mean meet, I mean get to know the other person: what do they do for a living, what school do they go to, stuff that really lets you get to know them.

LEAD.  Definitely going back next year.  It was a really good experience.

I wish I could’ve seen San Diego more.  Like stayed a week or something; it’s really nice there!  Sorry Desmond; I’ll visit you again; I totally blanked on who went to UCSD this weekend…but yeah.  I want to go back!
